Water restrictions go into effect today

DOVER TOWNSHIP: Water restrictions that limit outdoor lawn and garden sprinkling here go into effect today.

Property owners with odd-numbered addresses can only water their lawns on odd-numbered days. Those with even-numbered addresses can do so only on even-numbered days.

Residents with private wells are also included. Lawn watering is prohibited from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A fine of $100 will be assessed for a first violation of the restrictions, with a $500 fine and up to 30 days' community service for additional violations.
